Tomorrow is the Vernal Equinox aka Ostara aka the first day of Spring. Or as I like to call it, “The Springquinox”.
Let’s celebrate together, shall we?
An Equinox Reading
Let’s start by picking a card. Whichever you feel most drawn to. There are no right or wrong answers here.
Got your card picked? Awesome. Now let’s look at possible seeds to sew at this time.
Card One: Seven of Cups- There’s a daydream that’s been in the back of your mind for some time. Now is the time to get clear on if you can make this fantasy a reality. Is the soil rich enough to sustain it? Will the rewards reaped be worth the time spent tilling?
Card Two: Eight of Cups- Stop fighting the flow! There’s a new beginning on the horizon and you’ve been swimming up stream in an attempt to avoid it. Let go. Now is the perfect time for new beginnings, so stop fighting and allow life to bring you new things. You’ll be better for it.
Card Three: Four of Swords- Take a moment to rest and reflect. Lately, you’ve been fighting just to survive. And you’ve won that fight. Congratulations to you! Be proud of this accomplishment, and take a few still, silent moments to contemplate what you need to not only survive, but thrive.
I thought I’d share my favorite floor wash recipe with you. As with all my recipes (magical or mundane), I don’t typically do ‘measurements’. So these are all approximate amounts.
- About 2-4 cups of hot water (that’s roughly the amount of liquid the container I use for this purpose holds)
- Juice of a whole lemon (or more. I can’t tell you how to live your life)
- 1-2 tablespoons vanilla extract.
- Some amount of flower petals. (I use roses).
Combine all ingredients and let steep until the smell makes you want to rob a Krispy Kreme.
I have two very exciting pieces of news to share with y’all!
